Yes another sequel and I’m really wondering why I saw it :s.
First off I really didn’t have anything to do that evening and second I was stil curious if they’d maybe made a decent sequel.
But it was really terrible, it had nothing to do with the original Hostel.
Can’t really say why they made it but I would never ever ever ever with a cherrie on top see a movie by these writers again!.

So the score………. 2 stars and why 2? Maybe there’s still something out there that’s even worse .

A very Harold & Kumar Christmas

Ok I know isn’t it a bit late for a Christmas movie?… yes and no.
First off nowadays you can celebrate Christmas approximately around december because there won’t be snow anyway :p.
And secondly it’s always the right time to see a good movie.
Sadly this wasn’t….
I’m a fan of John Cho and Neil Patrick Harris but just not of this movie.
I guess it’s just not my kind of humor.
And the little kid and her facial expressions just scared me!
And that’s something coming from a horror fan.
But I did laugh once at the scene when Harold was trying to get unstuck from the lightpost .
But if I look at the movie without my personal sense of humor or maybe the lack of, it was wel written and so was the acting and I did like the clay world scene very much .

So to conclude I’ve got two ratings, if you’re into this kind of humor 7.5 stars personally I wouldn’t give it more than 4.

Final Destination 5

After I’d seen this one I was asking myself why?!!!
Was their plan to make even more money just by naming it Final Destination with the hope that people wanted to see this sequel just because they had seen the last four parts?.
Or maybe because this one is filmed in real 3d that it would be somehow better?, that somehow when the blood n guts would be coming towards you the killings would seem different?.
I really didn’t get it, the story was identical to the previous parts even if this was a prequel also very famous for script writers who don’t have any inspiration at all and who still want to make money….
And in the old days if they made a bad sequel they’d stick to classic formula meaning a monster some blood and gore and of course some beautiful girls who got naked! Then there would still be something to look at when you’re wondering what the weather would be the next day .

So you’ll probably guessed that I didn’t think to much of this one and you’re right!, 3 stars because of complete lack of originality.

Shark night 3d

The cover says”from the director of The Final Destination”, well that’s a franchise that is almost dead .
And the movie is about sharks obviously and there are some girls in bikini’s and some guys on a spring break or something….. Oh and last but not least a ex hillbilly boyfriend with a grudge.
So put them all together with some bad cgi sharks and you got a complete waist of your time what was better spend bij staring at the window for 90 minutes .
So my score 3.5 stars.

Sint

A Dutch movie for a change and not a bad one either.
It’s produced by Dick Maas who also made Amsterdamned and De Lift and those were very good movies in their time.
So how’s this story, well it’s not bad but you have to know of the old folklore of Sinterklaas.
Here in Holland the old saint visits our country once a year and brings presents for the good kids and punishes the bad(by not giving any presents or taking them with him).
But now he is portrayed as some sort of cursed undead demon who kills kids and collects their souls.
There’s only one detective who knows the truth and he’s on a crusade to stop him…….

I had some time for a quicky so here goes…….
A german Vampire movie with only girls !! Great right ?
Well it wasn’t that bad to be honest it had its moments.
So what about the story?, a woman Vampire is looking for her great lost love.
And she’s convinced to have found her in Lena, a small time pickpocket.
Who on her turn falls in love with a policeman, not knowing with who or what he’s getting involved…….
My score 6.5 stars.

The hangover part two

A sequel, usually not as good as the first part and this one is no exception on that rule.
I think I’m not a great fan of the first part and this one didn’t make me laugh at all, ok maybe once.
So no not a success and as far as the story goes…. It’s exactly the same as part one only the setting’s different as they are all Bangkok instead of Las Vegas.
The score 5 stars.

Rise of the planet of the apes

I don’t know why exactly but I was never a real fan of the series…..and the fact that one of the last movies showed a ape who was the spitting image of the late Michael Jackson didn’t make me want to see more.
But because this was a prequel I had to give it a shot.
And I liked it very much ! And I really started to feel sorry for the chimpanzee and how they treated him.
The story: during the development of a Alzheimer’s cure the test subjects seem to have some side effects, their eyes are changing color and they are becoming a little more intelligent .

My score 8 stars.

Friends with benifits

Yes there’s the romantic comedy again.
And everybody knows the story and how it’s going to end, but the way leading to that point is usually funny and a great pastime with your/a girlfriend.
But I’ve got neither so I’d hoped for a really funny movie.
And it didn’t let me down it was funny and the acting was great, Justin Timberlake has proven to be a great actor(Alpha Dog) and Mila Kunis was really hot .
The story: boy meets headhunter and they become friendly and decide to have a friendship with sex without all the complications of having a real relationship and feelings.
And it seems to work out until one of them………

My score 7.5 stars.

Conan

Because I liked the version with Arnold back in the day I had to see the remake.
But I think I liked the original better :s.
I know its somewhat dated and the acting isn’t great and the special effects aren’t any good at all but still, Schwartzenegger ruled !
And in the remake the acting’s bad the special effects, hell everybody can make great effects with a decent computer.
So what’s left…..not a lot, it just wasn’t good enough.
That being said 5 stars out of ten.
