I was really looking forward to this, and I must remind myself not to do that because it can only lead to disappointment.
If you have seen the trailers they were pretty scary but sadly those are the only scary moments in the whole frikken movie!
So the story, a little girl finds new friends in the basement of the house they just moved to.
The little creatures seem nice at first………
My score 6.5 stars.
A beautiful woman seeks revenge for the murders of her parents.
A movie worth watching? Yes it is

The story isn’t that special we’ve all seen it before and we all know how it ends but still fun to watch if only to see her in the black spandex outfit 
.

Yes another great Chinese movie!
And in my opinion a lot of people I know only watch the American Hollywood pushed movies while nowadays there are a lot of great movies coming from different countries and one of them being China.
And this is another historical movie with a funny guest role by Jackie Chan .
The story…. The violent war lord who’s high on his own power disrespecs the Shaolin temple and it’s monks by killing a rival war lord on the temple grounds.
But when he returns to his home he finds himself betrayed by his own and in the process losing the life of his daughter and his wife leaving him.
As he has nothing left and being hunted down by the new warlord he asks for refuge in the temple.
And in the time he spends there he finally learns the true meaning of life and becomes a Shaolin monk.
My score 8 stars.
I’ve never seen a movie where the main actor had so view lines.
Some say less is more but in this case I found the character was missing a lot of depth.
And the fighting and action scenes were uber violent on moments that you wouldn’t expect it.
I mean in the elevator scene where he kills that guy zombie style like he had to totally smash his brains……
But anyway the story, a day time mechanic that drives the getaway
car at night with a boss who’s involved owing money to the wrong persons and the girl next door who’s waiting for het husband to be released from prison…..
Throw in some great car chases and some random violence and the outcome…….. DRIVE.

My first thought was how original, a remake…..
But it isn’t and it’s actually a prequel not that that’s a really original idea but you would think it could be better because some classics are just good as they are.
But now for this one….. Hmmm the original had a very good tension build up.
Because you didn’t know who was duplicated by the alien, this one didn’t.
To be more precise there wasn’t a moment without you knowing who was the alien (when there’s someone with two heads you’ll probably know )
Actually everything that made The thing a great horror/sf this one lacked.
It was a entertaining movie but just that, nothing more.
And the thing I liked most was the ending, when the chopper was chasing the escaped husky dog….
So to conclude…. it couldn’t stand in the shadow of the original and I would give it 6 stars barely…. .
Yes another sequel and I’m really wondering why I saw it :s.
First off I really didn’t have anything to do that evening and second I was stil curious if they’d maybe made a decent sequel.
But it was really terrible, it had nothing to do with the original Hostel.
Can’t really say why they made it but I would never ever ever ever with a cherrie on top see a movie by these writers again!.
So the score………. 2 stars and why 2? Maybe there’s still something out there that’s even worse .
Ok I know isn’t it a bit late for a Christmas movie?… yes and no.
First off nowadays you can celebrate Christmas approximately around december because there won’t be snow anyway :p.
And secondly it’s always the right time to see a good movie.
Sadly this wasn’t….
I’m a fan of John Cho and Neil Patrick Harris but just not of this movie.
I guess it’s just not my kind of humor.
And the little kid and her facial expressions just scared me!
And that’s something coming from a horror fan.
But I did laugh once at the scene when Harold was trying to get unstuck from the lightpost .
But if I look at the movie without my personal sense of humor or maybe the lack of, it was well written and so was the acting and I did like the clay world scene very much .
So to conclude I’ve got two ratings, if you’re into this kind of humor 7.5 stars personally I wouldn’t give it more than 4.
After I’d seen this one I was asking myself why?!!!
Was their plan to make even more money just by naming it Final Destination with the hope that people wanted to see this sequel just because they had seen the last four parts?.
Or maybe because this one is filmed in real 3d that it would be somehow better?, that somehow when the blood n guts would be coming towards you the killings would seem different?.
I really didn’t get it, the story was identical to the previous parts even if this was a prequel also very famous for script writers who don’t have any inspiration at all and who still want to make money….
And in the old days if they made a bad sequel they’d stick to classic formula meaning a monster some blood and gore and of course some beautiful girls who got naked! Then there would still be something to look at when you’re wondering what the weather would be the next day .
So you’ll probably guessed that I didn’t think to much of this one and you’re right!, 3 stars because of complete lack of originality.
The cover says”from the director of The Final Destination”, well that’s a franchise that is almost dead 
.
And the movie is about sharks obviously and there are some girls in bikini’s and some guys on a spring break or something….. Oh and last but not least a ex hillbilly boyfriend with a grudge.
So put them all together with some bad cgi sharks and you got a complete waist of your time what was better spend bij staring at the window for 90 minutes .
So my score 3.5 stars.
A Dutch movie for a change and not a bad one either.
It’s produced by Dick Maas who also made Amsterdamned and De Lift and those were very good movies in their time.
So how’s this story, well it’s not bad but you have to know of the old folklore of Sinterklaas.
Here in Holland the old saint visits our country once a year and brings presents for the good kids and punishes the bad(by not giving any presents or taking them with him).
But now he is portrayed as some sort of cursed undead demon who kills kids and collects their souls.
There’s only one detective who knows the truth and he’s on a crusade to stop him…….
